When was the last time you took a moment to reflect on your nonprofit’s audiences? Because understanding your audiences is crucial for developing effective messaging and communication strategies, I’ve organized a one-hour online workshop to help you kick off 2025 right.
In this workshop, I’ll offer guided exercises, reflections, and conversation to help you step back, reflect upon, and refine your nonprofit’s approach to understanding your audiences. During our time together, we’ll explore three key aspects of audience-centered communications:
- Identifying and prioritizing your audiences: Have you defined who you’re trying to reach and why they are a priority?
- Creating audience personas: Do you understand your audiences’ needs, challenges, and motivations?
- Mapping the audience journey: Have you considered the path your audiences take when engaging with your organization?
My goal is for you to leave our hour together with a refreshed focus on your organization’s audiences and actionable insights to guide your next steps.

Who is this workshop for?
I’m hosting this event for my clients and blog readers— in-house nonprofit professionals responsible for marketing communications, including managers, directors, and executive directors. Please join me if you’re familiar with my approach and would like me to guide you through these reflections. I’m keeping it small to encourage meaningful discussion. We’ll go ahead with 3-4 participants, and I will cap attendance at around 10-15.
